I’ve been to Sens more times than I can count because it never lets me down. Since I’ve blogged about it before, I’ll keep the write-up about my most recent visit brief. Let’s just say that Sens kept its winning streak alive – making it a very SENSible place to go for your next meal in the Financial District. Here’s a quick snapshot of my most recent visit::
- Lamb tartare: well portioned, awesome choice for raw meat lovers. The lamb flavor isn’t overwhelming; the focus here is on the texture of the raw meat.
- Moroccan lemon chicken soup: wonderfully flavored with a dash of cinnamon and harissa. One complaint: could have been several degrees warmer
- Lavender bread pudding: unlike any bread pudding I’ve tasted. It’s not the hot, sloppy stuff I’m used to, but I got a kick out of the lavender and combination of flavors
- Also pictured: soft, eggy focaccia bread; a braised beef dish from the Dine About Town menu, and a chicken wrap.
Now that the weather is nice – book a lunchtime reservation, sit outside, and enjoy the culinary SENSations.
